Abstract

When we look at the messages of Imam Ali () contained in the book Nahj al-Balaghah, we find the metaphorical employment of its various types, apparent and clear, and most of these expressions are comparable to the Qur’anic expressions in meaning and structure. The letters that Imam Ali () used to write to Muawiya bin Abi Sufyan and the army commanders bore the nature of threats, denunciations and leadership orders. The imam's messages were decorated with metaphorical and metaphorical compositions, suggesting their meanings and semantic fields to Quranic references. In this study, we tried to apply what came in the messages of the Imam () with the Quranic verses that are similar to them. We found the original, metaphor, and imaginary metaphor, and the appropriate nomination as well, to the quotation from the Holy Qur’an, with a slight difference in the phrase used by the imam in the letters.
