Abstract

One of the issues that exist in the perspective of Imam Ali (AS)'s central and spiritual ethics is the consideration of death, which is abundantly found in his words, and the important point is how to interpret, analyze and explain this principle in the direction of moral education for everyone. , since this spiritual concept and its examples are mental concepts, so the way humans understand it is thought-provoking. The human mind uses different methods to understand and talk about it, and the contemporary theory of metaphor is one of the important theories that can explain this issue well. Since the approach of this research is cognitive and language is the only key to unlock cognitive codes, we also rely on linguistic data in this research and pass through the lens of linguistic meanings to decipher Imam Ali's mental concepts. This research aims to examine all the maps related to the areas of death in the letters of Imam Ali (AS) based on conceptual metaphor.
